TabTrade Overview - The Good and the Catch
The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker this new, that range is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people prefer it after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That will be a good addition when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade does not.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
The speed is where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
Here is the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off works is your call.
The Bonus
TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you deposit.
